Soha Ali Khan celebrated the festival of Mahashivratri with her family and shared glimpses of the occasion with her fans. The pictures featured her husband Kunal Khemu, their daughter Inaaya, and Kunal’s parents. She also posted a heartfelt video on Instagram where the family was seen worshipping Lord Shiva with deep reverence.
Soha captioned the video with “Herath Mubarak,” acknowledging the significance of Mahashivratri in Jammu and Kashmir, where it is traditionally known as Herath. This festival holds a special place among Kashmiri Pandits, and Kunal Khemu observed the rituals with devotion. Dressed in traditional attire, he performed the Puja, wore the sacred Janeu, and conducted the Havan ceremony. Soha actively participated, performing the Aarti and applying Tilak.
A Family Affair
Their daughter, Inaaya, also took part in the celebrations. Dressed in an elegant suit, she looked absolutely adorable as she joined her parents and grandparents in the festivities, embracing the family’s traditions with joy.
Kunal Khemu’s Directorial Ventures
On the professional front, Kunal Khemu is making strides as a director. After successfully helming Madgaon Express, he is gearing up to direct another film, with shooting expected to commence by the end of 2025.
Reflecting on his career, Kunal shared his experience of working alongside Saif Ali Khan in the 2013 film Go Goa Gone. He expressed his admiration for both Saif and his mother-in-law, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, considering them not just family but also accomplished artists whose work he deeply respects.
A Possible Sequel to Go Goa Gone
Kunal revealed that if given an opportunity, he would love to direct a sequel to Go Goa Gone, a cult favorite in the horror-comedy genre. The original film, released in 2013, starred Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, and Anand Tiwari in lead roles. Fans would undoubtedly be thrilled to see a second installment directed by Kunal himself.
